Moving back to my hometown, Buffalo NY, has been a fantastic experience. Buffalo and Western New York generally speaking has been going through tremendous economic development and growth over the past decade. I wasn’t able to appreciate what the city and surrounding area had to offer until recently. As a citizen scientist, I want to explore Buffalo and WNY through data. I plan on using publicly available data, like from the Open Data Buffalo initiative, to explore, understand, and communicate about my hometown and why I love living here.
